If you live in Los Angeles and want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, you've got nature at your doorstep! Amidst Griffith Park are several nature trails, this one just happens to be a favorite. You may or may not stumble upon a group working on a film or photoshoot. Head over in the Spring for some extra green and you'll think you've been transported to Scotland or Ireland!

Fun little fact: Most people know this cave as the entrance of the Batcave in the 1960's Batman TV Series!

To get to the trailhead from Hollywood Click HERE for directions. Once you enter the park by taking Canyon Drive north, you'll take the road all the way to a dead end. You'll see several trails that start here, so head to the far right where you'll find the start of a fire road. Take that up a quick little 0.3 miles up and you'll reach the cave! Want to keep exploring? You'll be right next to the Hollywood Sign and near Griffith Observatory! There's FREE parking, the trails are dog friendly, no need for permits, no bikes.
